Mom's On My Mind

When you were young, she was your chauffeur, your teacher and your cook. She wiped tears off your face and picked you up when you fell. She relentlessly told you right from wrong even though you thought you were a know-it-all. Now in your adult life, she is your friend, your guiding light and your cheerleader. She never fails to stand by your side. Most of all, she's your mother. Mother's Day is less than a week away. Don't forget her this year ... get her something amazing that would bring a smile to her face (best part, you don't have to break your budget to do that). Here are a few fabulous ideas:

1. Nest Candles & Burn Voyage Candles. You don't have to buy her a plane ticket to transport her to somewhere fun. Nest candles are made with fun scents like Bamboo and Moss & Mint. They are unique and the candles are poured in beautiful decorative tumblers that can be reused as a vase! The smaller Burn Voyage candles are made with an exotic combination of scents to transport mom to "Greener Pastures", "Purple Mountains", "Azure Seas" (my favorite) and more. What I love about these candles is the packaging. So pretty. Pretty. Pretty.

Nest Candles $32. Free shipping at any price.
Burn Voyage Candles $26.

2. Memoire Liquide. If you are in California, visit the Studio Beauty Mix counter at Fred Segal or pop into Bloomingdales 59th Street in New York City to custom mix your own fragrance. This is the perfect way to recreate a certain memory, time shared between mother and daughter or a childhood dessert always made by your mother ... The possibilities are endless. If you are out of the New York and LA areas, there are over 160 scents you can purchase online to mix and match according to mom's moods. See my link below.

Memoire Liquide $ 35-65.

3. Unconditional Love by Philosophy. Consider the oppurtunity to love the greatest of all blessing. Need we say more with a gift called "Unconditional Love"? In fragrance form or other body care, it's a perfect combination of beauty and a message. And through Philosophy's sister site, you can send a personalized card and download songs ... perfect for Mother's Day.

Unconditional Love Spray Fragrance $40. Free shipping with purchase of $50 or more.
Unconditional Body Products $22-$45.

4. Coco Luxe Truffles & Madeleines. Inspired by destinations around the globe, these handmade truffles are named after places like Capri (made with balsamic and sea salt), Bombay (curry and coconut milk), Tulum (spicy peppers) and more. The madeleines are (taste just like Paris) made in original flavors or with elegant ingredients such as edible lavender, English Roses, and Kyoto Green Tea. Chocolat de Luxe is so exclusive and in demand that for now, they are taking orders by email and by referrals only (tell them I sent you).

Coco Luxe Truffles $8.75-$42.
Coco Luxe Madeleines $3-$8.

5. Stearling Silver Crystal Hearts by True Faith Jewelry. What woman doesn't like jewelry? Designed by Bravo's Real Housewives of New York, Ramona Singer. Her jewelry collection has impeccable craftsmanship and great attention to details. She's worn both all her designs throughout the show. Hear are my two favorite pieces:

Filigree Heart $199.
Heart with Rose Crystal Flowers $129.

6. Tracy Stern Beauty Teas & Tea For You. Tea Maven and New York society hostess, Tracy Stern, has developed the most unique line of teas that are proprietary blends of the best quality teas from the finest estates around the globe. Included in her tea collection is a line of beauty teas such as Awakening Beauty, Toxic Beauty, Sleeping Beauty and even Slimming Beauty. Fabulously packaged (her teas come with an infuser), Tracy is showing the world that big girls and moms can have their own tea parties too. Reccently, Tracy also published her second book called Tea For You which talks about the art of blending your own tea.

Beauty Teas $19-26.50.
Tea For You $12.76. Free shipping when you spend $25.
